Decided to scrap the hull texture i normally use, I just couldn't make it look right. Going to model the plating on this one, also a bit of progression on forward section.

How do you develop the mottled illuminator texture behind the grating in the engines? Is it all just one texture or do you build it up?

The bussard collectors are made up of the collector, a frame and the glass cover. The red is a water texture recolored and laced as a self illuminating texture. The glass is textured with the "hole" pattern and then the same texture placed in the "transparency" setting. The blue of the warp field generators is the same water texture simply saturated a bit more blue, also self illuminating.
